roland and edmee! well, you'll never believe it, but we actually did made that 10:45am ferry - just in the nick of time i might add, with hearts pounding and running from the bus to ticket counter to boat... ahhh.
and how fun that my last vision of roland would be that of him tearing across the property with my backpack in hand so that bus didn't leave without us... you move like a 20-year old, roland!
just wanted to thank you again for such a delightful stay - we loved your place and had the best time staying there. i will have a tripadvisor report up for you very soon.
thank you again!!!

Ia Orana Edmee et Roland! We finally arrived home on Saturday afternoon, after flying out of Papeete at 10 p.m. on Friday. Everything went smoothly, and we were picked up by our daughter at the airport. We were very tired, and slept for 12 hours that night!! Thank you again for our lovely stay (except for Cyclone Ollie-who invited him??), and we will always remember the sharks Roland, and the coconut drinks sur le ponton, Edmee!! Take care, and we hope you have a wonderful year with all your guests. Dave and Heather Bruce
Dear Edmee and Roland:
We were fortunate enough to get a flight out from Papeete on Thursday night, which gave me another whole day to make some further steps on the road to recovery and although it was a long and not very comfortable journey on three separate planes, we made it home to the wet and grey of the Pacific Coast of Canada late yesterday afternoon. As it is the weekend, I will see my own doctor on Monday and see if he can do anything to rid me of the remaining effects of my reaction to the withdrawal of the seasickness patch.
When we arrived at Linareva, we hope we showed how delighted we were with everything there - the beautiful setting, our waterfront cabin, and above all your warm and gracious welcome and the time and trouble you took to give us useful information and to help us settle in. We had so many plans for what we wanted to do whilst there, that it was an enormous shock and disappointment to be overcome with such a bad reaction and to have to spend most of our time in the cabin with curtains closed. But we were so fortunate to be with such good people as yourselves. No one could have been more helpful and thoughtful in that situation and to have my own private nurse administering the injections was just fantastic. We will always remember your kindness and care, and we will take every opportunity to spread the world about Linareva and its wonderful hosts. When we have settled in a little bit longer, I will write to Trip Advisor and see what else I can do in the way of publicity locally.
We do hope that we can return again one day and I am sure you will do many interesting things to add to the pleasures of your South Seas paradise.
Very affectionately,
Laura and Ken
